Welcome Newtown Shotokan Karate Club

JKS Wales are delighted to announce that Phil Owen Sensei and Newtown Shotokan Karate Club have joined the JKS family. Newtown Shotokan Karate Club first opened it's doors in 1986 with Phil Sensei becoming chief instructor in 2012.

With approximately 40 members ranging in age from 6 to 72 and from 9th kyu to 4th dan they will be a great addition to the JKS in Wales.

Having felt the impact that training with Enoeda Sensei had Phil Sensei is looking forward to having roots back with Japan and to be opening up the opportunities that JKS brings to his students.

We would like to welcome Phil Sensei and all of Newtown Shotokan Karate Club and wish them all the best for the future as part of JKS Wales.
