On Sunday 9th June 9 competitors from JKS Wales travelled to Cardiff to compete in the Open karate championships.

The championships was very well attended from clubs all over Wales.

All of the competitors that took part in the day conducted themselves very well both on and off the Tatami for which I am very proud.

 

The results of the day are as follows.

 

Lucy Banner - Gold in the 13-15 years mixed kata, 4th kyu and below.

 

Rhydian Stockham-Rogers - Gold in the Para Kata.

 

Rhys Boyde & Summer Skinner - Silver in the 12 years and under pairs kata.

 

Ioan Stockham-Rogers - Silver in the Cadet -60kgs Kumite.

 

Alex Powell - Bronze in the senior +75kgs Kumite.

 

Summer Skinner - Bronze in the 10-12 years mixed kata, 3rd kyu and above.

 

Rhys Boyde - Quarter finals of the 10-12 years mixed kata, 3rd kyu and above.

 

Dylan Price - Last 16 in the 10-12 years mixed kata, 3rd kyu and above.

 

Brooke Harley - Bronze in the U 10's mixed kata, 4th kyu and below.

 

Brooke Harley - Bronze in the U 10's girls open weight kumite.

 

Nathan Preece - Bronze in the Cadet +60kgs Kumite.

 

Ioan & Nathan - Bronze in the Cadet team kumite.
